La Paz

PUERTO VALLARTA

Cosmopolitan La Paz is a mix of laid-back old-world beauty and chic upscale trends. World-famous for its fish tacos and Baja style cuisine. It is surprisingly international – you are likely to hear French, Portuguese, Italian, English and/or Spanish. The beachside ‘malecón’ has superb restaurants and funky stores. On the other hand, Marina Costa Baja is an architectural jewel for those looking for fine dining, higher-end bars and hotels.

Isla Partida

PUERTO VALLARTA

An island that is connected to Isla Espíritu Santo by a narrow isthmus. These two islands, in the Gulf of California, are protected by UNESCO as biospheres. The island is mostly alternating layers of black lava and pinky volcanic ash. On the eastern side of Isla Partida steep, tumbling, rocky cliffs drop sheer into the water. Snorkeling is superb, plus the beach of Ensenada Grande was voted Mexico's most beautiful beach and top 12 in the world by Travel Magazine. Need we say more?
